| I had the privilege of getting to know Dave through 9 months of train-up and pre-SCUBA from Fall '98 through Spring '99. I would have to echo his father in his description of his son. Dave was an athlete and a scholar. I have met very few like him since then. For most who complete difficult training, it is enough to say that they never quit. Dave never quit. But, not only that, he constantly strove for excellence. He motivated everyone around him, excelled at all he did, and made it all look extremely easy. He was a warrior and a hero. I am glad that I got to know him. Rest in Peace, Dave |
