Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Moon Glade on October 30, 2003:

This is very sad times for David's family and friend. It is also a very sad times for the Army for their losses. I was most fortunate to have met Lieutenant Berstein, just prior to his attendance to the Army Ranger Couse at Ft. Benning. Our meeting was very brief, however a very special kinship developed with the Infantry Lieutenant, because I was once a young 19 year old Airborne Infantry Sergenat in a combat zone. Lieutenant David R. Bernstein was doing exactly what he wanted to. He was a remarkable young man and an extraordinary soldier. He was a soldier who all other soldiers would want to elmulate " a soldier's soldier". His contribution to America and the Long Gray Line can never be measured. The future and freedom of America is because heroes like Lieutenant Davis R. Bernstein. Thank you David. May God bless Lieutenant Bernstein and his family.
