To the parents, I wanted to express my condolences in hearing about the loss of your son. I knew David since he entered USMA in Beast Barracks in the summer of 1997. I was two years ahead of him and was part of his Beast cadre. I always remember David being unflappable, nothing we did as cadre ruffled him. You could not get under his skin and we all respected that about David. I was also in H3 with him for his first two years at USMA. I remember him being an outstanding cadet and a leader among his peers. David was not only an exceptional soldier, but he was also a tremendous person . . . he will be missed greatly.
