Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Phil and Yale Weatherby on July 9, 2012:

We read the article today in the Washington Post newspaper about Lisa and John's family, as they go on in their lives with out John. Some of the comments were very unkind, some not so much. It was apparent that no one had read these eulogy pages, or knew John or his family.

Dear Lisa, we do not know what you now go through in your life without John. We do however, know widows from our previous posting who have faced the same thing.

We applaud you for creating memories of their father and the kind of person he was for your children. The children are still young, but they will remember years from now and be thankful to you.

We did not know John, or his family. The only common experience for the two of us is that Yale was also an Academy graduate. For some that may not be enough, for us it is always enough to understand.

John is alright where he is, with God. Prayers for Lisa and the children more than ever are needed. You will move forward Lisa in your life....You are doing your best.

As long as John is in your heart, he will always be with you. You of course know that.

With kind and loving thoughts to you and your children,
we remain,
A old grad and his wife.
