Joe Lusk

West Point, 2001

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Will Fulton on January 25, 2005:

To all the friends and family of Joe Lusk
I am deeply saddened to hear of Joe's accident and death in Kuwait. I can't seem to get his infectious smile out of my mind. He was one of the few people I knew that could successfully combine hardwork with a good time. I remember the countless hours in the bottom of Mahan Hall building our senior project airplanes. He always looked at the brighter side of anything. I really don't think there are many people who did not know Joe between West Point and Flight School. He was always the life of the party.
Joe suffered a fate that most pilots tuck far back in their mind. Though not in the same unit, I am sure Joe was a great gun pilot. All of us in the attack community will remember you, and my prayers are with your family. Rest in Peace Joe.
