Be Thou At Peace

I submit that Joe Lusk was a good man and that he committed himself to living in the arena where he experienced the greatest highs and where he shouldered the worst of the lows. That is after all the life of a soldier and a leader, which Joe lived in spades. We might say that Joe's life was short, but it was certainly full. Those of us who have been blessed in sharing a handful of days with Joe either at the academy or while serving in the Army, are better for it. I will always have fond memories of Joe slugging through the projects and problems sets that abounded in engineering land (hours in Mahan Hall can't even begin to describe the pain!), and of his friendly face in the hall or just walking across the Plain. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
