Be Thou At Peace

Posted by CPT Joe Odorizzi on May 3, 2008:

I did not know Drew until the CPTs Career Course at Ft. Knox, but when I did meet him I knew he was someone special. I sat next to him for the entire 6-month span of that course. I learned so much from him but most importantly, I learned that Drew was an extremely dedicated man to his profession but to his family most of all. I don't think a day went by when he didn't tell a story about his family or say something about it.

My first memory of Drew is also my fondest. My orders gave me a late report date to Ft. Knox for the CPTs Course, so, I was a week behind everyone else when I showed up. Drew volunteered to take me around to get my books and finish my inprocessing that I did not get to accomplish the week before. He personally drove me around to each stop to make sure I was taken care of. It's a small memory but one that will stick with me forever. Rest in Peace, Drew. We will all miss you.

-Joe
