Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Will Evans on May 9, 2008:

Drew was one of the most mature and enlightened cadets that I had the pleasure of teaching American Politics while instructing at USMA from 97-00. He always questioned things and wanted to know how could he make it better and why things worked the way they did. A sharp soldier/cadet with a great sense of responsibility in all he did. A true sense of humor and knew how to motivate folks to focus on what was important to get the job done. He was well liked by all that knew him.

He set the example for so many during class and provided me with inspiration to want to seek out guys and gals with his kind of spirit to mold as examples of what West Point produces...selfless leaders who I would trust with my son's or daughter's life in defending our nation.

To Drew's family, my regards and may God be with you for strength in your great loss. He will be sorely missed. Our lives are richer for having known him. Thanks Drew.
