| When I first met Drew at the prep school in 1996, I was an arrogant infantry private who thought nothing of any other branch, especially MPs. One of the toughest lessons I learned throughout my time at USMAPS and West Point is that I did not know everything. That was not a lesson in PL300, but a lesson I learned from a small handful of fellow cadets. I put Drew at the top of that list of people because he earned my respect for his competence, his strength, and his integrity. It is hard to think that I will never again see the man I came to respect so much. Thank you Drew for everything you never knew you taught me. America is stronger and safer thanks to you not just because of your sacrifice, but because of the people you touched. |
