Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Ryan Renken on October 3, 2006:
Stopped by in May during Grad week to say hello. My little brother was graduating and I flew in for that. The patch and spurrs were still there. Nick was by in January. Derek told me he stopped by earlier in May to tell you hello as well. Maryanna told me to see her parents. And as fate would have it, I ran into her dad in the Thayer. LTC Arata and I had a few for you at the Thayer Hotel after the graduation banquet.
Currently, I'm reading some of these notes from some of your friends, Soldiers, and family. I must say that this one got me:
"So loved by his platoon, that they were the only platoon in the 200 year history of the West Point Academy to demand and recieve the honor of replacing the honor guard there so that they could bury their lieutenant personally."
Well done, Mike. Well done.
