James Matthew Gurbisz

West Point, 2002

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Paul Grimes on November 9, 2005:

The Star Ledger article started my day yesterday with a heavy heart as I read about the loss of Capt. James Gurbisz in Iraq! I did NOT know James, nor his family but I DO know too many Viet Vet friends who returned safely from that war some 40 years ago, only to suffer their own loss of a son in Iraq or Afghanistan. THere are NO words to offer James' family and especially his father who bravely served in Vietnam. Anyone who served this great country in the military, regardless of each's political beliefs, today offers our brave men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan our undying support and praise for their selfless hard work and sacrifice! GOD will certainly provide James with his eternal reward for his own personal sacrifice! I hope James' family receives great comfort in knowing our very compassionate GOD immediately brings into Heaven, every warrior who bravely sacrifices his/her own life in a cause to help the oppressed and less fortunate! GOD bless the Gurbisz family! I will keep his family in my prayers.
