Our hearts ache with all of you who loved Torre - wife, parents, family and friends. We are reminded with each sacrifice of the words of General MacArthur, "He who dares to die--to lay his life on the altar of his nation's need--is beyond doubt the noblest development of mankind. In this he comes closest to the image of his Creator who died on the cross that the human soul might live!" We are grateful for Captain Mallard's service, thankful your sacrifice, and sorrow with you in your great loss. May God give you strength, courage, and comfort, Bruce and Pam '05 parents |
