To the Mallard Family: In this time of unfathomable grief at the loss of your son and loved one, we too cry out for the loss of Torre. Your son made the ultimate sacrifice for my five children, and for what is good in this nation and this world. For as deep as Torre's loss is for you, so too it is our loss. His death is a nation's loss, and we grieve for you and for ourselves. Thank you for bringing such a fine man to us.
