Along with the commits of Brian Kromer, I was in the same Plt. with then 2LT Mallard. He was an awesome leader but also a great friend. I can remember the full contact football PT, time in the field, NTC and other training. Capt. Mallard was full of life. Always had a great attitude and did everything he could for his soldiers. He used to call me J-Nice and say that was my rapper name. When i would see him at FOB Falcon he was always in high spirits and had would always have a joke to tell. All one can say about Capt. Mallard is that he was just a great great man, leader and friend. He will be missed and never forgotten. You cant forget a hero cause thats what he was to all who knew him. GARRYOWEN SIR!!!!!!!
