Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Alan Kordzikowski on May 14, 2011:

As I write this I continue to feel apprehensive because I am not sure it is my place to do so. I only wish to pay my respects. I first heard about your death while watching the morning news for the Albany news station. I was in my early teens and what really caught my interest was the fact that you were an academy grad. As you probably know, during the Iraq war, there was a lot of news reports about soldiers dying, but for some reason I can recall yours, and I think thats why. Last year I bought the book "In a Time of War", and I have to say the author did a great job. I dont think anyone will forget people like you and Todd. I grew up in a military family, and in particular, in and around West Point. I was a cadet candidate for the class of 2015 until a few months ago. I am not here to write about myself. I just want you to know that you are not forgotten, which from this web page is pretty obvious. Thank you for your service, I am sorry you had to die. God bless.

Respectfully,
Alan Kordzikowski
