| I never had the opportunity to know Leonard personally. I knew his mother when we were teenagers in grammer school and high school. I did know the patriotism that Leonard possessed and exhibited. We were comrads in arms from different generations. We are kindred soldiers who did our duty. Leonard lost his life from sniper fire in Iraq. Leonard, I thank you for your service, your commitment to your country and your love of your family and country. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten. You will be remembered in all that I do.
