Paul Herbert Jaenichen

LTC (Ret) Paul Herbert Jaenichen, 81, Brandenburg, died May 24, 2012, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Radcliff.

He was retired from the U.S. Army; a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; the American Legion; Brandenburg Moose Lodge; and the Doe Valley Fishing and Boating Club.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Nick Jaenichen, Garden City, N.Y.

LTC (Ret.) Jaenichen is survived by two sons, Lee (Stephanie) Jaenichen, Bowie, Md., and Chip (Paula) Jaenichen, Mitchellville, Md.; two sisters, Doti Dienst, Manchester, Conn., and Rica Tilley, Thornton, Colo.; a brother, Peter (Arlene) Jaenichen, Floral Park, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Nathan Jaenichen, Oceanside, Calif., Rachael Jaenichen, Paducah, and Clark Jaenichen, Bowie, Md.; and a great-grandchild, Paxton Jaenichen, Oceanside, Calif.

Funeral services were held May 28, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Disabled American Veterans.
