| We were saddened to hear about the death of Laura Walker. The articles she wrote as a PAO, reflect the bravery and accomplishments of the soldiers in her battalion. As a young lieutenant, she bravely served as a platoon leader in Iraq less than a year after graduating from West Point. I feel connected to her as her younger brother is in my son's class at West Point and her grandfather was my fathers classmate as well. Her father lived down the hall from my husband as a cadet. We will remember you Laura and the personal sacrifice that you made. We will hold the Warner and Walker familes close in our hearts. |
