Be Thou At Peace

Posted by lyndsey sharp on August 27, 2005:

Bo-
this month, you've been my best friend for 10 years... i struggle with the words to say what this has meant in my life. reading all of the kind and loving words posted, a reoccuring theme is your kindness and smile. i remember that smile fondly, back when it wore braces. we were kindred spirits from the first day we met and were only available as a pair from then on. we have created more memories and had more moments than i'll ever be able to recall... the ones i can are the most precious of things. we've had our downs, but none of those however small or great were able to shake our bond. it broke my heart when you left for west point and i couldn't go with you. it was your path, and i understand that now; you had more lives to impact before your time was through. there's so much i want to say, but you now know what is in my heart. you were kind, generous, intelligent, gorgeous, talented, and relentlessly ambitious. i never did think there was much room for improvement. you have accomplished more in your short time here than most will do in a hundred years. i've never been more proud of you than i am right now. you are loved by so many and improved on the lives of others in ways that you couldn't even imagine. i'm so grateful for my last memory of you...standing at buffalo bill's in nashville, holding my hand and saying that we'd be best friends forever. we always will be. i love you so much,Laura. you will be with my always, and i'll see you again. i'm keeping the promise. -Boo
