I did not know Laura, I saw her obituary in the Washington Post while sitting in a Borders book store in Sterling, Virginia, and there was something about her picture that struck me. I think it was her big smile and the way she wore her hat. I decided to read her eulogy and I was so taken by the story of her short life that I actually started to tear up in the store. As I read on I was so affected by her sacrifice and what she had done while at West Point and in Afghanistan that I decided to post this short eulogy. My prayers go out to her family and friends. She truly was one of America's best. |
