I graduated from high school with Mike in 2000. We shared a small group of friends and took several classes together. I remember his modesty, his perseverance, his subtle sense of humor, his goodwill. I remember studying Calculus with him and Amanda around his parent's kitchen table. I remember how he, Amanda, Ben, and I stayed up until 3am watching MTV. I remember his humility when accepted to West Point. I remember his excitement about defending his country in Iraq. I remember how he was friends with everyone. I remember how everyone was friends with him. Mike was simply one of the nicest guys I ever have and ever will meet. Rest in peace, Mike. |
