Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Michelle L. O'Toole on February 5, 2010:
To The Family & Friends of Daniel, You do not know me, nor, did I know Daniel. My daughter, Patricia is currently a plebe at West Point and I follow a blog called Plebe.net on the internet. This is how I have come to learn of Daniels death. I want everyone to know how deeply saddened I am each time I learn of a soldier's passing, and, along with that sadness is a mixture of so many conflicting emotions. The loss of a loved one at any age leave's a hole in one's heart that is unimaginable to us all. So often I ask my daughter about this and her response never waivers, and her answer is alway's the same. "Mom", she says, " I was born to be a solider,I will live as one, and if I have to I will die as one." Greater love hath no man, than to lay down his life for another. I ask God to grant you strenth at this most difficult time in your lives and may your memories of his life with you, however brief, wrap thermselves around you and keep you. Respectfully, Mrs. Michelle L. O'Toole mother of cadet Patricia M. O.Toole USMA class of 2013
