Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Harry Bruner, Jr. on February 5, 2010:

To the Daniel Whitten family: No words can console such a heartbreaking loss of your son and soldier with so much promise and potential. May God give you his divine peace in this time of sorrow. You can be so proud to have raised a gentleman, leader, scholar and soldier who chose the harder path of serving this country and making the ultimate sacrifice for us.

Pericles said, "What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others." From the articles about Daniel, he touched so many lives in positive ways - the sign of a true leader. May God comfort you until you are again reunited with him. Grip hands, let the circle be unbroken. Harry Bruner 08 USMA parent
