Dan's two favorite things were his wife, Starr, and serving Paratroopers. He is and always will be one of the best people I know, and I'm privileged to call him my friend. We can only hope that more men like him will come, now and in the future, for the betterment of all. There are no words to describe what has been taken from us. He was a loving husband, a true Commander and leader, and a great friend. My prayers and heart go out to Starr, the Whitten family, his friends, and the Paratroopers of Charlie Rock. Thank you, Dan, for all of it. |
