Be Thou At Peace

| I was an acquaintance of Dan's during our later years at the Academy. We met up about 4 years later during the 82nd Airborne Division's Afghanistan Deployment from 2007-2008. I had the pleasure of flying him around about once a month while he was the DCG's Aide. I always did look forward to those missions. His upbeat attitude always made me laugh. He was a great guy, and he will not be forgotten. I pray that the pain felt by Dan's family and friends will morph into the laughter elicited by their thoughts or stories of him. He departed this earth too early, and he left a legacy that makes all who knew him proud. |
