Be Thou At Peace

Hey buddy,
It's been quite a few years since you were taken and I still think of you often. We tread some ground together in high school... you fought for me and I fought for you.

We took different paths in the military, you doing the whole West Point thing and myself rushing into the enlisted ranks.

I'll never ever forget the times we shared. From JROTC in high school (first place orienteering team in the Midwest) to hanging out at Ft Meade while you visited your dad in Maryland (remember that night in Annapolis?) to everytime you came home to Des Moines (birthday drinks at the bar... when it wasn't our birthday).

I miss you, my brother. I don't know how I made it through Afghanistan, but worse than that, I don't know why you didn't.
