Dear Jonathan, Thank you for your service to our nation and your ultimate sacrifice! My heart is heavy and eyes watery thinking about how many grads we've lost in this horrible conflict. I served in Baghdad for 15 months and never got used to the bombs and attacks; remembering those days brings further pain to my soul. So, although we never met, you and I are close as brothers as we've stood in the Long Gray Line and will forever be joined as such. God Bless You my friend and "when my work is done" and "my course on earth is run"...I'll see you again. Prayers and condolences to your wife and family, Always, Ali, Class of 97 |
