Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Amanda Rogers on October 17, 2007:

Tom:
It's impossible to convey how deeply this loss is felt. I'm truly finding it unbelievable that you're no longer walking around, being Tom. Even though I rarely got to see you, your presence was so real. You were really good at "being there", even when you weren't here. You couldn't have known how blessed I was by your loyal friendship and I'm so glad I had a chance to know you and have such fond, sweet and ridiculous memories of you. I just had this flood of flashbacks that I'd love to joke around with you about. I realize it's so rare that people stay friends for so many years when they are so far away and I have you to thank for being such an amazing constant in my life. To this date, I know no one that makes people feel as special as you did and it shows in how many people that will actively miss you.

To the Martin's: Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. You should be so proud of him. He was a fine person and will be missed dearly.

Erika: I'm so sorry I never got a chance to meet you. Tom had such glowing things to say about you and I never knew him to be happier than when he knew you. I am praying for your comfort.
