Tom I just had just arrived in Baghdad for the beginning of my second tour when I heard the news. I was speechless. I had only spoken to you just last week about a message I had received about the strength of the American soldier. You embodied everything that was admirable about our profession. This loss is stunning to me, as I'm sure it is to many more. I will always cherish the tough and also great times we had at school, whether it was slogging through the woods as Buckner cadre or partying it up for Halloween.
