As the father of a 2016 cadet, it doesn't go un-noticed that your sacrifice has left you hurting for the rest of your life. As another Martin with roots not far from you in Dallas and Fort Worth, I wonder if we are in some way related. Last week, I walked among the tombstones and noticed Thomas' marker. The memories and markers that sat atop it seemed such a small remembrance for such an important life, but I know he is not forgotten - either by you or by the countless other cadets, friends, and yes, Martin's that pass by him. Thank you for Thomas' service and for your sacrifice. We will forever be in your debt. |
