Neale, I'm dismayed and shocked to learn of your death. I wish terribly that it didn't happen. The world is a poorer place without you. Getting to know you when I was your team leader was a privilege. I enjoyed teaching and mentoring you, and learning from what you had to teach me. Bouncing leadership ideas off each other during the next two years was something I appreciated. Your love for cadets and soldiers and determination to do the right thing always encouraged me. It hurts to think that you're gone. I know that leading your soldiers in combat was a great privilege and responsibility that you cherished and excelled at. They will miss you. You and your family are in my prayers. I don't understand your death, but I trust God's plan for all things. Be Thou at Peace. Patrick |
