Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Austin Dziengelewski on April 26, 2008:

Tim-

I'm so sad that you died. Literally everyday I think about how my friends died overseas yet I still lived, even though my friends were much better persons than I. You were such a nice, lovable guy, with a great respect towards God, and a family man. When you were in my squad during Ranger School, I recycled, and I was pretty bummed out, but still, I thought "better me than Tim, he really needs to see his baby be born" and you made it straight through, and did see your beautiful daughter be born. I saw you about 3 months ago in Iraq while I was on refit, and you seemed in amazing spirits and happy to be with your men.

When we meet again in heaven, I will give you a great big hug and ask why our father took you instead of me. Hopefully it will all make sense by then.

Please take care Tim. I will pray for you and your family every day.

Love,

-DZ
