Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Jeffrey Velázquez on April 26, 2008:

Dear Timothy,

You were one of my best friends in the world. I will always remember our studies together, your godly wisdom and sincere friendship. You are my role model for true Christianity. I will never forget you. The world is a worse place for having lost you. I hope that I can do my part, to stand in the gap you have left. Tim, like we talked about that night before you flew to Kuwait, please know that I will always try to be a good 'uncle' to your little daughter. I'll do whatever I can to ease your family's grief and make sure they are taken care of.

I only wish I could have died in your place, so you could raise your little girl Abigail and be a husband to Samantha. You were a better man than I am, and I do not understand why God took you instead of me
.
I will never forget you. It was an honor to serve beside you.

Tim, well done. Be thou at peace.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day..."
2 Timothy 4
