Nick was one of the best people I have ever met, and a great friend which I will dearly miss. We shared countless adventures by foot, motorcycle, car and canoe together, creating memories which will never be forgotten. He lived life to the fullest, taking advantage of every spare minute to improve himself or enjoy his surroundings. He was an amazing person who always put the welfare of others before himself, and was willing to bend over backwards to help a friend. I would not be the person I am today if I had never met Dewhirst. I am proud to say that he is one of the best friends that I will ever have, and I will miss his presence in my life. I am sorry for the loss of his life, but I know that he was prepared and is in a better place. Thanks for everything Dewhirst, I loved you like a brother. -Mike Roesler |
