Multiple times I wanted to reach out to your parents. I think of you often. I can't begin to write how much your friendship meant to me. I can't even go to the grocery store and pick out cheese and not think about the time I spent with you. Every time I listen to music I think of your much deeper appreciation that you had for music than most. I know I really frustrated you at times but you were always so patient with me. The last time I saw Nick he was performing log PT with his infantry at Fort Campbell behind 1 Brigade HQ. He had them doing flutter kicks with the log over their head. He was smiling. You are missed. |
