Dear Girdano Family, We know how fruitless are any words that would attempt to comfort you from this grief which must be so overwhelming. History will gloriously record Mike's service and sacrifice. I am confident his legacy will be the lasting and profound impact he had on his classmates, and the officers and Soldiers of his unit; his memory will remain a part of their lives forever. His personal commitment, professionalism, and selfless service to our Army and nation will serve as a special inspiration to all who knew him and will long be remembered. We also hope you'll find some comfort in knowing that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and all of the Class of 2007 during these trying times. We pray that our Heavenly Father may comfort you with his Spirit as only He can, and leave you Mike's cherished memory and the solemn pride of his incredible service and sacrifice to our Nation.
