Be Thou At Peace

I cannot begin to express the heaviness in my heart. There are no words that can truly console you at this time. My daughter is a Cow at West Point. Dan was Regimental Commander during my daughter's Plebe year. She was always "taken" and so very impressed with Dan. After Plebe year, my daughter was scrambled into E-4, which she loves dearly. She tells me that the all the firsties are devastated with this news, as is she. My daughter saw your son at Airborne School this past summer. She said he was the first person she saw when she got off the bus. Your son was loved and admired by so many and will always be honored and remembered by everyone who knew him. Please know that your family is in my prayers. What a hero you son is! God bless your family during this very difficult time. Jacquie Holcombe Daughter 2010 |
