Dan, I'm grateful for the opportunity to have gotten to know you during firstie year. It struck me that of all the people chosen for high positions within the Corps, you were the most genuine, most loyal to your beliefs, and most willing to accept responsibility for things gone awry - regardless of the fact that they were rarely due to anything you did. You faced adversity with strength, but maintained your sense of humor even when the rest of us gave in to cynicism. I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of your loss. As cliche as it sounds, the world is truly a lesser place without you. My thoughts are with you and your family. Well done, be thou at peace. Chris Hostler, '07 |
