We are deeply saddened by the loss of your son. Our son, 1Lt Ryan Horton ('07)called to tell us when he received the news. He said he knew your son well because of being on brigade staff with him at WP and that he was "a really great guy". Ryan doesn't hand out compliments or respect lightly and it was obvious that your son had earned his. We can only imagine how your hearts must ache. We have suffered similar loss ourselves and understand how unreal all this seems. There are no words to bring comfort to you right now. As fellow parents who understand that we may also face this ultimate sacrifice, we can only say that we mourn with you, and that you are thought of, prayed for, and loved by many even though we don't know you personally.
