Be Thou At Peace

This is usually the venue where people discuss the memories they have of a fallen classmate, or express what a wonderful person their classmate was and how he will be missed. I regret to say that I never knew Dan in anything more than just a hello in passing. I am sorry that I never got to know him. I do remember how he seemed to stand apart from other cadets. The quiet way he carried himself around central area was not only intriguing to me, but inspiring. I am not surprised that he was accepted to all three service academies and excelled at West Point. It is clear that he was stellar. I will never forget how Dan seemed to be a beautiful person, inside and out. We were lucky to have him, we will miss him. My condolences go out to his mother, father and sister. Be comforted in that you are not alone, and that he will never be forgotten. Dan, be thou at peace... |
