Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Adam Nordin on May 25, 2020:

J Jones-

Here we are again. I can't help but think to myself - this isn't how it's supposed to go. I shouldn't be writing messages on anybody's eulogy wall. I should be drinking a beer with them instead.

Though your memory continues to erode, it will never be forgotten. It CAN'T be forgotten. You are one of us, and we are one with you - woven from the same cloth, forged of the same steel, and focused and determined to fight those who stand in our way.

Your sacrifice is your greatest burden, and it is not lost on me. Your burden gives us hope, gives us strength, and invigorates the warrior's spirit. You now have the hardest and most impossible task of all - to humbly guide us to make the right decisions, to confront those who wish us harm, and to protect those who mean so much to us.

For the next year, I ask only 1 thing - that you shine some light when it is dark. In return, I promise, we've got the watch.

You are not forgotten, brother.

-Adam
