Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Russel Hawkins on March 21, 2013:
I had the pleasure of working with Sara for a few years in the Army. I was fortunate to see her start out as a young LT and develop her skills as a leader and a pilot with our unit and get promoted to CPT. She was an excellent leader and dedicated to the mission at hand. When we deployed to Pakistan she revealed her leadership potential by advancing her skills in the helicopter and gaining the trust of her soldiers. Sara was the shining star wherever she stood. When she walked in the room the first thing you noticed was her smile. I served for over twenty four years and I can tell you without a doubt that the loss of Sara has touched more people than I can recall over those years. Sara had a spark that never flickered and she was ready to tackle any task given. I watched as the love of her life Chris developed and blossomed into a new beginning that ended way too soon. I am honored to have known Sara and will forever be grateful for her selfless service. Your friend TOP
