Why the best of us are rquired is a mystery I am not capable of answering. I only know that God sent His best, His only Son, that we might have life. In reading about this brave soldier I was captured by the quotes he lived by. I sent a link to this page for my Cadet son that he might gather from LT Tyler Edward Parten's heart and courage, and by that, perhaps that same spirit might live on. I shudder to think that I may sit where Lt Parten's loved ones sit today, yet I am compelled to say to you that he lived well and died bravely. Should the same be asked of my son, I can only hope that he follows your Lt Parten's foot steps into glory. May God reward his valiant service and comfort you in this most painful hour. |
