Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Marissa Reedy on October 5, 2009:

No words could ever thank you enough for touching my heart like you did. I don't think you really even knew the extent of how much your encouragement challenged me and helped carry me on through the first weeks of being away from home. I don't think I did either until you left us.

Without you, the world became a dark and ugly place overnight. My view on life changed in a phone call, and my faith and understanding was challenged in a heart wrenching word. However, I don't think you'd have it any other way than to have those challenges be placed in front of us because you knew they would bring us to our knees and draw us closer to God. I rest in that, but only because you set such an amazing example for me to follow. I can't ever thank you enough for that.

Some days I can't accept that you are no longer with us, and other days the reality is all too clear. I find myself thinking of heaven more often than I ever did before..

I love and miss you. Thank you for all you did in the hearts of many, as well as mine. XO, Ty
