Be Thou At Peace

| Although we have never met, my cadet knew Mitchel and was actually visiting with Brian McGrath that weekend. When I think of your loss, I can't help but see the smiling faces of happy cadets who think they have their whole lives before them. Even my son, when he called me that night, said "Mom, he was only 21 (or 20, I can't remember exactly). We cannot know or understand God's plan for us or our children. I can only believe that Mitchel's work on earth must have been done. Your son and your family continue to be in our prayers. May you take comfort from friends, family and the big 'West Point family' your son has touched and who mourn your loss as well. |
