Robert Wilson Collins

West Point, 2008

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by John and Susan Carbone on April 11, 2010:

"NO MISSION TOO GREAT" was adopted by Lt. Collins and his classmates to embody their commitment to each other and hallmark of their future service.

Now he has faithfully and fearlessly embraced a great mission, given his last full measure in the service of our Country, and served in a cause for Freedom.

As parents of his fellow classmate Eric Carbone, who is now as are others serving in the same position in Iraq or Afhganistan, we know the worry and concerns we as parents all carry and share, but do not speak of to others.

The loss and sorrow his parents and fiancee are now carrying are truly more than others can know, feel or take from their shoulders. Robert has been kissed up to God too early for any of us to accept or comprehend.

His parents, family, fiancee, fellow soldiers in Iraq and his 2008 classmates everywhere are held in our thoughts and prayers daily, and now for Lt. Collins, forever.

With deep sympathy, concern and prayers for all.

John, Susan and Eric Carbone, Class of 2008
