Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Fawn Pernelli on May 3, 2010:

Dear Mr & Mrs Corma,

It is with profound sadness that we learned of Sals passing. Our son, Kyle attended St Augustine Prep with Sal and then went on to follow him to West Point. In fact, he only recently met up with Sal when he was home, which makes this all the more difficult to believe. While we only met your son on a few occasions, each time we were reminded of what a kind, confident, caring young man you raised with a smile that could light up a room. His quiet demeanor obviously belied his tremendous inner strength.

As we approach our sons graduation we are greatly sobered with the loss of your son. It serves to remind all of us what a huge commitment our children have undertaken when they choose to dedicate their lives to their country. The selflessness of that decision by Sal and your support of his decision speak volumes of your character as a family.

Please know that our hearts break for your loss and that you are in our thoughts and prayers. God has called and your Officer and "Christian Gentleman" has now gone home.

In Gods peace,
Fawn & David Pernelli
