Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Marianna Carlson on May 5, 2010:

Sal,

Although we only hung out a few times I felt like I knew you so well through the stories of Joe Lapointe and from you sweet nature. I will never forget the summer of 2008 when we all attended that Rascal Flatts concert together...I remember looking over at you and all of the sudden you had this massive, bright green slushie...it was almost the same size as you! You also had that infectious smile of yours stretched ear to ear, I will never forget that smile.

My heart is truly broken by the news that this world has lost such a spectacular human being. The comments people leave about you speak volumes about the man that you are. I don't think a single person that ever met you has anything negative to say about you, which reflects what an impact you had on this world. You will be sorely missed and the world is truly a dimmer place without your bright smile and positive attitude.

I hope all those that you have touched will strive to be like you so that the world can be a little bit better of a place. No man will ever fill your shoes, but the memory of your heroism and greatness will live on forever. Keep smiling, Sal, we could always use a little more sunshine.

I pray that your family can find peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Marianna Carlson, Wife of an '08 Grad.
