Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Alexander Kim on May 5, 2010:

I remember Sal as my plebe IT105 partner. I remember my West Point experience being filled with projects where we had to work with partners. I can't remember all of my project partners' names but I remember Sal quite well. The final project for IT105 is quite rigorous as it requires hours upon hours of programming and took a large portion for your overall grade in the class. Despite the many late nights Sal and I spent, we managed to get a 100% on our final project. I remember feeling ecstatic about our result and when I went to share the news with Sal, he seemed quite sad. When I asked what was wrong, he said that he felt bad because he felt that I did more work than him. He even offered to buy me Dong Fong but I refused because I felt that if it weren't for him then we wouldn't have gotten the 100% in the first place. I remember Sal as hard working and sincere but most of all he cared about myself more than he cared about himself.
