Be Thou At Peace

To the parents of Dmitri, We deeply grieve with you. Dmitri was a close friend to our son David. We have a recent picture (May, 2011) of LTs Dmitri, his wife Katie, David and Colin standing outside their barracks in Afghanistan. David's arm is around your son's shoulders. The Lord has taken your son. These three remain. The affect of your son's friendship and sacrifice is hitting our son hard. For as long as they live, Dimitri's memory will remain embedded in the hearts of David and other friends. And Dmitri's legacy of friendship, service and ultimate sacrifice is already being felt by others. Your son's life has been used by God to make other lives, including our son's, better and stronger. Again, we deeply mourn with you. May the God of all comfort surround you and envelop you in this season of grief. John and Pam Hoffmaster |
